Joe Orzechowski 1988 Nissan Silvia Q

This time capsule is a 1988 Silvia Q (Queen), which was the first year of the Silvia S13 run. This car spent most of its life in Japan, and much of its history overseas is unknown. It was imported to the United States as recently as 2021. Since then, it has had a few owners prior to Orzechowski but spent much of its time safely stored in Pennsylvania. Since its import date, it has put on very few miles and has mostly been stored during its time in the states. Orzechowski was scouring an online used goods marketplace and discovered the listing from a gentleman who was moving and could no longer store the car. It was Orzechowski’s goal to own a specialty Seafoam Silvia, and once he saw this listing, he knew he had to have it. Once he became the owner, he focused on preserving this timepiece and enjoying its many road capabilities.

This car has been left mostly stock, so much so as to keep its factory naturally aspirated CA18DE engine, which produces around 131 HP. Paired with the motor is a factory 5-speed manual transmission and an RWD drivetrain. The guts of this car have been left bone stock.

The looks of this car have been kept just as factory as well, other than some minor interior mods such as a cup holder and floor mats. The steering wheel, shift knob, and all other interior features have been left as they were in late 1988. The spectacular paint of this car is Mint Green #527 on the top and Warm Gray #463 on the bottom for an astounding and rare Seafoam 2-tone paint job. Complementing this original build are the OEM 15x6 +38mm teardrop style wheels.

Despite the car spending so much time in storage, Orzechowski has been making sure to show off this sweet ride. It has been showcased at events like Riverside Chattanooga, Dayton Cars and Coffee, Columbus Cars and Coffee, and a few others. Orzechowski closed off his written documentation of the car's details by stating his goals and intentions with the car, saying, “I'd like to preserve the car as best as possible. I love driving it and plan on keeping it and taking it around as many places as I can go!”
