Edition 1 Voting Mishap and Resolution
Behind the scenes, the Neoshow team tossed around ideas regarding how to handle voting the top cars of Edition 1 of Neoshow.
What We Did Wrong…
Our previous system was very flawed. Our rules and regulations were not perfectly clear, nor were they thought out. Unfortunately, this led to audience displeasure with accusations of data collection, data skewing and so on. Beside that, we were put in a situation behind the scenes regarding a contestant taking a different, not wrong, but different approach to voting, leading to skewed results. This error was not on the fault of the contestant, but regardless ended up requiring stems of special treatment against our desires.
The Core Issues…
The reason the previous version failed was due to many reasons, which I will list: No enforced entry limit; Arguable categorization of features in miscellaneous categories; Disconnected 1st, 2nd, 3rd place voting format; No supporting image of featured car for voter reference; Open link sharing introduced a “popularity contest” style vote result.
How We’re Moving Forward
Unfortuantely, we at Neoshow are deciding to redo voting. Now only open for 1.5 weeks, this new system has more clear rules; Featured car reference images for voter; Single vote spotlight format; Enforced entry limit; Restricted self-voting and promotion.
Regretfully, this has also put us in a situation where we are deciding to revoke prize winnings from the previous voting round. This decision was made as a group effort, and chosen as there is no natural way to reward previous winners without creating a completely different set of prizes.

We apologize to all individuals affected by this situation, and we appreciate all input and advice regarding this matter and handling future endeavors.
